Thoughts for Reflection from Benedictine & Monastic Authors

Forgiveness Heals Our Deepest Needs
Passion always seeks to be explicit, to be concrete. Jesus went ahead of his disciples to Jerusalem, and He came to meet them. He gave them peace and the Holy Spirit, then extended the forgiveness of sins and the power to forgive sins. This is the same forgiveness that opened up and healed the deepest needs of all those who came to Him for healing during His earthly ministry. Only the one who has forgiven everyone everything by taking it upon himself can delegate others to offer that forgiveness Page 108
