Unselfish Love - Exercising Freedom to Love
“...we realize that for us too every unselfish act is a little dying, and that the final moment of death becomes simply the last and best opportunity to let go of one’s own plans and wishes for the sake of God’s call. In this regard, we are simply asked to follow the lead of Jesus himself. For when he submits to being arrested and bound, he is exercising freedom to love which is most often expressed in an experience of bondage to the needs of others.” pg 12
